He who the people hate… is as the wolf is to the dogs… the free spirit.”

They call me Awet Moges. I fancy myself a cheerful pessimist that doubles as an ironic nihilist.

Heterodoxia has been around since 2005 as a blog full of heretical topics that challenges orthodox philosophy. In fact, philosophy is renewed by heretical thoughts, which are themselves explosions of creativity. Orthodox philosophy does nothing but mummify the status quo and craps out dogmas. A heterodox philosopher always offers dangerous critiques of the established orthodoxy.

The world is kept alive only by heretics… our symbol of faith is heresy. ….tomorrow is an inevitable heresy of today, which has turned into a pillar of salt, and to yesterday, which has scattered to dust… this is a constant dialectic in which a grandiose parabola sweeps the world into infinity…. – Zamyatin

In order to talk about myself, I have no choice but to use labels. Well, labels are artifacts that aid communication, a shorthand of concepts, yet I’m a nihilistic heretic whose practice of deconstruction results in the utter annihilation and self-abnegation of all forms of transcendence, up to and including the divine absolute of reason or religion or faith or philosophy or life or morality. Perhaps someday someone will collect my disorganized notes, scribblings and publish them under the title of “theothanatology.” Not only God is dead, and not only because you can’t find a plumber on the weekends, nor will the awesome realization that you are God even stop you from suicide. If you backed me into a corner, I would admit that the entire history of humanity is that the invention of God was the only reason why we haven’t committed self-genocide. Even those “godless” atheists still believe in God, the God of physics or the laws of reality….
